One of the advantages of trading currencies (compared to other types of securities) is that forex markets operate continuously from 6PM (US Eastern time) Sunday to 4PM Friday. However, some traders may find this overwhelming. After all, if the markets…

Has anyone had any experience with this trading software? I am seroiusly looking to buy this for trading commodities, forex, stock and options.

I love it when somebody tries to sell "lifestyle" as opposed to what the software can actually do. I've never seen someone put it in the product name before. "You don't have to spend hours in front of a screen". You are buying from or selling to someone else. Why are they taking the opposite side of the trade? Are they stupid? Or are they seasoned professionals who approach trading as a business?

Lifestyle Trader has "two magic lines". This appears to be a simple moving average system. You can look on stockcharts.com or yahoo finance and see prices plotted against moving averages. This type of system can catch huge moves at some times and get you whipsawed at others. The trick is to know when to step back from the market and let it sort itself out. He doesn't seem to discuss this. He also seems weak on money management. (That's the critical plan which keeps you from allocating too much money to one trade and getting wiped out by a few losers.) Lifestyle Trader claims to work on everything. Why do you want to jump from one thing to another all over the place? You won't gain an understanding of anything.

I am form india and I want to know which Forex trading portal that offers attractive spread and good leverage,

MIG Investments of Neucatel, Switzerland is the best by far.
I live in San Jose, Calif. in the US, and spent almost a full month researching brokers before ending up with MIG. I even had live posiions with four US Brokers only to cancel them one by one as I realized their failings, and untruths. I originally wanted to deal only with US Brokers, but they are totally unregulated. Brokers in Switzerland are heavily regulated, probably the only place that is in the entire world.

Beginner. Please don’t refer me to a practice program, unless it is Mac compatible.

I would say DISCIPLINE is so important with trading anything. It is a fundamental skill that is necessary to ride through the highs and lows of the job. No matter how good you are, without discipline in regards to controlling your emotions and actions you will be doomed.

Good luck!

If I was to put in $1000 into a forex trading company, what is the realistic result I would get from that in one month period?

The Forex market is an excellent way to make money. What people do not realize is that there are three types of investors: Short-term, mid-term, and long-term. I myself am a short term investor, since that is the fastest way to get paid, making money on the little movements on the market. The only thing though is that you must watch the market like a hawk. It is a job, just like any other job, but it is a cool job. In order to really make money in the forex market, and enjoy life at the same time is to buy a laptop computer, go to Starbucks, or some coffee shop that has pretty girls walking by, (for motivation) and WORK!!!!! Watch every little movement on every pair.

If you want to invest short term, have a small goal. I trade on www.forex.com where you can trade on 200:1 margin. Now, you said you have $1000 to invest, that means you can trade 200,000 USD. What you do is you buy 5 lots and try to earn 10 pips on it. Do this every day for 5 weeks and you now have $2000. In five weeks your investment will compound.

Also, study the concept of Japanese candlesticks. You need to be an expert on how the Japanese canlesticks work. Here is that website for you. My e-mail address is ej105@hotmail.com if you have any questions. I will look forward to meeting you on the top of the ladder of success!!!!!!!
